(Propers), p. 13-41, Augsburg Publishing House, Minneapolis, 1978, based, with only minor variations, on the Revised Common Lectionary, used by many denominations, including the Episcopal, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Methodist churches:

The daily readings are the Propers (Lections) for the following Sunday, so that the daily devotions can prepare us for worship. Scripture Lessons for Matins and Vespers, p. 299 - 304, Philadelphia, 1918.

My Daily Walk

In the past 30 years, I have come to a saving personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and I have come to the realization that the meaning and purpose of life is to "seek the Lord, in the hope that (we) might feel after and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us", as the Bible says in Acts 17:26-27. My testimony is that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, as He has said in John 14:6. If you don't know Jesus personally as your Lord and Savior, you don't know the joy and peace that you are missing!

It is my conviction based on my personal experience in discipleship, that if we are faithful to seek the Lord's Word and guidance on a daily basis, the Lord is faithful and will reveal it to us. It is important that we make ourselves available on a daily basis to meet with the Lord to seek his word and guidance, and then apply it daily, one day at a time.
